David Fincher Will Make You Fat, Give You Cancer
It’s no secret that David Fincher often likes to shoot a lot of takes. He is the anti-Clint Eastwood in that sense. And according to Rooney Mara, who stars in his upcoming film adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, this can be dangerous for actors who are required to eat or smoke.
She explains, “You’re doing it take after take… I was eating pizza in one scene, and I literally ate, like, 20 pieces.”
And she also urges young stars who are called on to smoke in Fincher’s films to limit their intake of nicotine.
Mara explains, “I had been smoking a lot for the movie and then spent three days just running non-stop. You never want to smoke or eat in a David Fincher movie.”
If this was true during Fight Club and Brad Pitt in fact inhaled, he will likely die of cancer in about two more years.
