I understand that documentaries can’t always touch upon every subject or else they would be really lenghty and probably lose a lot of people’s attention. They have to be made short and sweet for most people. In order for documentaries to be successful they have to bring up the extreme cases because that’s what sells. I like how you presented your information. People have to understand you can’t just watch a documentary and think that’s the only truth. In order to become a good critical thinker some liberal arts courses in a college are helpful! Education remains key and we have to fight for our kids to get a good education. Actively participating.in what they learn and how well they do is part of it.

Growing up mostly in the suburbs I had some good teachers and some terrible teachers in the public school system. The good ones are the ones that made a huge impact in my life and I just felt sorry for the terrible teachers who were obviously miserable with their own lives. I had a math teacher in high school tell us that we would all amount to nothing. I just laughed because I knew that I would do well regardless of what she said and she needed some psychiatric help. People who try to discourage me and tell me I’m not that smart just fuel my passion to prove them wrong. I know not everyone is not as strong willed. As a single mom in college right now all I care about is setting a good example for my child and setting high standards for her.
